Economist - Conservation Behavioural Science

Full-Time Remote (Mumbai/Delhi/Noida preferred)

Position Summary:

    The person should enjoy both desk-based work with data, as well as on-ground research with communities across project sites such as the North East, Lakshadweep islands, and the west coast and any other site assigned across India. S/he will be required to assist and work through the scientific research process. S/he must have a deep interest in social science research, and should be adaptable to working in a dynamic environment. S/he must be keen to learn, grasp, and apply learnt skills in economics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-field economic data collection.
  • Over-seeing on-field data collection and management of field teams as required.
  • Assisting with quantitative data analysis.
  • Designing and executing on-ground interventions.
  • Report writing for the project work done.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the CBS lead from time-to-time.

Required qualifications & skills:

  • A Masters Degree in Economics from a recognised university (in any sub-discipline).
  • An experience of at least two years. Those with relevant research experience will be preferred.
  • Comfort with working with and handling quantitative data .
  • Willingness to travel and stay on field sites and carry our field-work as required for projects.
