Manager – Tech for Conservation

Full Time Noida, Uttar Pradesh

Position Summary:

    The incumbent must view this as a long-term career opportunity wherein and s/he will be expected to manage the operations of THT – Tech for Conservation (T4C). S/he will be managing, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring & evaluating The Habitats Trust’s T4C initiative, helping realize its overall vision and goals. The position requires an understanding of, and demonstrated skills in the broad range of technology applications. Candidates must be a strategic thinker, able to demonstrate collaborative, organised, self-motivated, and good interpersonal skills. Excellent understanding of technology and should be skilled at developing and adapting technology for conservation. A successful candidate will be high-energy, outgoing and have enthusiasm for engaging the stakeholders. Candidates must be flexible and be able to work harmoniously in a small, very fast-paced, office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The incumbent will be design and develop technological tools for conservation.
  • Contribute to building the vision and direction of the MP of THT.
  • Responsible for implementation, management and monitoring of The Habitats Trust’s Tech for Conservation Programme.
  • Map priority areas and identify key issues where technology can be used for conservation.
  • Evaluation, reporting, and coordination with partners and projects.
  • Assist the Head – THT in formulation and management of the T4C’s budget.
  • Any other work assigned by the Head - THT.

Must Haves:

  • Demonstrated abilities in development and use of technology, knowledge of conservation of nature.
  • Around 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Should have excellent project management, collaboration, and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience with monitoring and evaluation of programs / projects.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are needed; ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Preferable Engineering or Master’s Degree in relevant discipline (ecology and conservation).

  • Curious with desire for finding technological solutions.
  • Team player, meticulous, analytical skills, effective communicator with understanding of wildlife and conservation issues.
  • Should be self-accountable.
  • A team builder who promotes teamwork.
  • Passionate about field work and open to travel extensively besides managing processes.
